The Mennello Museum of American Art updates the traditional Orlando Folk Festival with a new Valentine’s Day family folk picnic, with live music, original art and craft vendors, special foods to fill your basket from East End Market, plus craft cocktails and beer.

Join us for the debut Indie-Folkfest at the Mennello Museum of American Art, a sweetheart of an afternoon and evening, Saturday, February 14th, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Sculpture Garden, overlooking Lake Formosa.

The very best aspects of the annual Orlando Folk Festival come together for the debut Indie-Folkfest at The Mennello Museum of American Art – and it will all be squeezed into one special afternoon and early evening on Valentine’s Day 2015.


Holding down the music stage is the irrepressible Joseph Martens and his sweetheart of a wife, Jessy. The couple will play emcees to the string of local musicians, as well as perform as their duo project, JUNOsmile.

Also heating up the stage is Hannah HarberPALEFACE and Thomas & Olivia Wynn. A romantic Twilight Concert finishes the evening featuring Eugene Snowden of The Legendary JCs! The lineup and schedule is posted in MUSIC.

The artist marketplace will take on a sweeping Valentine’s Day theme. Shop for original art gifts from popular local artists and crafters including Dawn Schreiner, Jon Napoles, wit & bloomKen PeaseWinsome Losesome, Annette King Fashions and Lure Paper Goods. Find all our talented creatives in ARTISTS/VENDORS.


Bring a picnic basket or put one together on the spot — we’ll even have handmade blankets to purchase! See FOOD & DRINKS for all the options!

Feast on East End Market’s picnic goodies that will be for sale, from Fatto In CasaSkyebird,  La Femme Du Fromage, Olde Hearth Bread Co. and Houndstooth Sauce Co.

Also on the menu are a variety of craft cocktails and beer from Hanson’s Shoe RepairNV Art BarLil’ IndiesThe Milk BarRusTeak Restaurant and Wine, and The Thirsty Topher.

And to make the picnic complete there will be flowers to buy from East End Market’s Porch Therapy.

We extend our LOVE of the community with fun family crafts including fence painting, and making Valentines and ribbon sticks. Admission is free, and we there’s free parking in nearby lots. We break down the transportation options including links to maps in PARKING/BIKING.
